Okay, here is the continuation of the story on how I got my
brother-in-law involved with driving traffic from pay per

, N) a8 z" p; a' }0 X/ rI left off on how he messed up his Google Adwords account
. Q2 w0 `9 Y. B7 f9 Pand how I was trying to fix it.

Here is what happened when I dropped the bid on that $1.25
/ y. b4 J4 D6 U8 k+ P' h# n8 g: Xlead campaign from $1.00 down to about $0.25.

Google accepted the new bid.

Woo hoo!

5 d' e( R8 o& \* s, [0 g" QNow Waseem can actually make money on this offer. Google
9 N7 ?4 z) c! Frewarded this campaign because we had developed a good CTR
on the ads.

* l. t$ p/ s- H, K* u+ T+ K& K2 X& Z5 VFrom this experience, I reminded him to develop his ad
writing skills to keep a good CTR ratio for all his ads on
1 B7 P- }" D& ]. BGoogle.

& I* r$ u; O# |: Q8 iHe is not a big Google fan because of all their
1 q* T5 ^0 z; W# u& Drules and restrictions, but he really likes MSN and spent a
- c% T' k: V) j3 w. }lot of time on this PPC search engine setting up campaigns.

/ b8 R$ d  q& o5 VHe only ever did learn Google Adwords and MSN Adcenter. He
' U; I+ }1 y' D& y; Pcould have built a lot more traffic if he had experimented
with the list of other *profitable* pay per click search
9 V/ t- Z; F7 [7 V9 b; Mengines I had given him.

He started making some good money, but things could have
8 Y0 A. E( Q6 A$ ^; V- i* b8 cbeen better if not for the following:

1. Never use a broke college student who hasn』t made more
) L9 Z1 [$ B2 \& A8 b7 p1 hthan $2,000 in an entire summer as a test subject. As soon
as Waseem started making $100 in affiliate commissions a
day, he got lazy and stopped doing much.
2 \) ?8 B) i( ^! s
2. World Cup: Waseem is a soccer fanatic and was *easily*
. W( C6 F% r, r2 X# X3 d6 H$ pdistracted by the World Cup. So distracted that he told me
' |3 L% D& d0 Mit was a *need* for him to watch almost all the matches.
6 q. O& ~$ {# y+ w( J
3. He enrolled himself in a full-time course over the summer
6 f9 Z* {) D" iand had assignments and tests to complete. Okay, I will let
) i$ V5 Q( T& j3 @this one go.

Over the three and a half months he spent at my home, he only
7 ]1 e  B/ C$ a6 x2 cgot around to driving traffic to 4-5 offers. I had hoped
+ R2 m% |7 H+ u# I1 }: H8 Zthat he would have built enough traffic to pull off a
" f9 v! R+ m, E2 B% P$10,000/month.

a lot of money. But for others, that is enough to cover
- w1 u- b6 c% {1 Da mortgage and car payment.

For Waseem, this was a windfall.

Waseem got lazy and gave up to soon. It still makes me mad
! d' M, }$ @1 \0 V- i+ Iwhen I think about the potential.

& M; l  i' i* `* F% v0 OIn fact, it was ironic that when he went back to university
9 u9 z4 S0 o8 T% ?, i$ m, Sin September, he virtually did nothing and his affiliate
commissions jumped to almost $4,000 in both September and
9 d0 z( j/ Q) _2 _; y6 }October.

) m) T: M( x6 d3 A+ z- MIf he had just spent a few hours optimizing his campaigns
using the *system* I showed him, he could have easily netted
50% of these gross revenues as profit.

1 y* U  p. D! q8 M, H& v7 u) ^He still isn』t doing anything with his campaigns, but is
6 `  _! u+ r$ nstill netting an average of $1,000 in profit a month on
complete auto-pilot.

I actually just recently saw him after he came up to help me
: U  p1 I* a& D- }! Rset up my recent two day seminar in Toronto.

/ [; I+ X) o" m/ Z8 y. jYou should have seen the look on his face *after* my two day
4 l7 K* k4 X1 L3 D) }4 \* fseminar, when I spilled the beans on *everything* I do to
2 [. K8 [- T# `) fselect group of 25 participants.

" |; d3 x) V2 }# J; d- v# nI only taught him about 30% of what I knew.

He came up to me and kept repeating 「Man, I gotta finish
$ [+ e0 M9 g2 `/ _7 V8 bschool and start ramping my campaigns up.」

Don』t worry bud, only one more semester left.
